Student Learning

I believe in hands-on, play-based learning and strive to create an environment where students feel autonomous, creative and empowered. One of the ways I do this is by creating a myriad of ways for students to express themselves in long-term and short-term project-based work, both individual and ensemble-driven. I always stress the importance of not just making the work, but sharing that work with our classmates as it helps us learn more about the work itself.
