Miss Jess's Theater Grab Bags

When the pandemic began and our classrooms went virtual, I decided to create a weekly offering to help bring theater and creativity home with my students and help parents feel supported through a variety of creative activities. Each week in addition to my live classes, I sent a "grab bag" newsletter with a variety of theatrical activities for parents and students as well as "TV Alternative," or, a filmed performance of a piece of theater to watch, paired with additional theatrical activities. During this difficult and uncertain time, I felt it was my responsibility to bring as much joy to our virtual rooms as possible.
